Some important things you need to know.
A graduate of disciplines Graphic Design and Digital Media.
I would class myself as a digital artist and specialise in unique and visually beautiful web designs, graphic design and anything of that nature. However, I'm also interested in film, motion graphics and photography. I started with company Web Sessions in Surry Hills, 2004 before I travelled (a temporary hiatus) between 2006 - 07, and learnt the valuable lessons of interaction and communication. Now collaborating with Momo Digital and freelancing with other fantastic people who are there to see ideas grow. To prove that interaction and the power of imagination experience's no limits.
My logo, the tree, represents life and history. Stability and growth. Depth and always reaching for the sky. The tractor is my tribute to those who worked with the landscape. I'm the next era, the digital farmer.
I'm always looking to work with anybody with innovative projects.
Random words that are in right now: Radical, collective, change, ideal and dynamic.
Film Maker Darren Arronofsky was once quoted; Travelling outer space is dead. Travelling inner space is the new frontier.
A philosophical look at Marc Leabres:
You can quite easily look into your past and dissect it so you can pick out all the profound moments and suggest that all those experiences has now shaped who you are, playing a big part in who you've become. In many cases that's true, it's true for me. I only bring this up because the one thing that has never left, that I always keep close to me and that deeply influences my perspective is the nostalgia of home, growing up, imagination and the many blindly efforts of trying new experiences when you were young. As the one thing I can benefit from looking back is the strong sense of community. How the importance of interacting at home, with groups, at extra-curricular activities, through the years of education and of course in many social environments whether that be person to person or in a digital marketplace. We are constantly faced with some form of opportunity to interact in any communal setting.
I am now aware and constantly reminded that this has been the backbone, the "soul" influence for me as a designer, that triggered the evolution, the process that took part and what has unfolded. A bit cliche I know, nevertheless, very honest and true. Now here I am, here comes the punch line, I've taken all into account and channel all these influences into my contribution to design, my designs and my selling point. I provide a service or design an idea stemming from interaction and communication. However, I'd like to think all graphic designers provide this service. If a designer can't engage the audience then it contradicts the role they should be playing in the industry. It's my responsibility to establish some connection between client and designer, designer and audience, between design and marketplace.
Now, this philosophy and memory can keep you grounded, ambitious and dare I say young forever . That is why I collaborate all the information from our interaction and articulate a successful idea, to create a beautiful design, that will connect to an audience because my vision is to design projects with you that I can share with everyone else, so I can look back and it makes me feel like we're home.
Interact. Design. Connect.
